Curious about plein air painting but not sure where to start? Join us for this free Plein Air Demo and experience the basics of painting outdoors. Whether you're new to plein air or simply want to learn more, this is the perfect opportunity to see the process in action and decide if you'd like to participate in this year's Plein Air Paducah.

Watercolor paint set
One large brush and one detail brush
Watercolor paper or watercolor canvas

Bring your blank canvas or painting surface to the museum to be officially stamped and pay for entry before you begin painting. Once stamped, spend the day painting outdoors throughout Paducah.
August 22
Return your completed painting to the museum for judging and exhibition by 4PM
Reception & Awards
5:00–7:00 PM
Celebrate the artists, view the completed works, and enjoy an evening recognizing the inaugural competition.

Common Ground Poetry Workshop
Common Ground: Poetry Workshop Series, invites participants to use poetry as a practice of reflection, meditation, and healing. Kennedy Williams, recent UT Martin graduate and journalist will be leading this program. Whether you write regularly or have never put pen to paper, this workshop is designed to use poetry a path toward greater presence and connection.
Join us for our first session—FREE and open to everyone! Come experience the launch of Yeiser Art & Wellness, meet fellow community members, and discover how poetry can help us find common ground with ourselves and one another.
Chair Yoga in the Gallery
Join us for Chair Yoga in the Gallery with Suzi Renaud, a gentle and accessible class designed to help you move, stretch, breathe, and relax while surrounded by art. Whether you’re new to yoga or have practiced for years, this welcoming class offers an opportunity to slow down and reconnect with yourself in a peaceful gallery setting.
The class is free and open to everyone, with a suggested $5 donation. Your support helps us continue offering wellness programs that bring together art, mindfulness, and personal well-being. Come as you are, bring a friend, and take some time for yourself at the Yeiser.
