The Journey : Exhibition of Dale McReynolds

The Journey by Dale McReynolds is both a historical exploration and a deeply personal reflection on her own experiences and the Black experience in Kentucky. Drawing inspiration from the stories of her grandmother, who was of Native American and African heritage, McReynolds weaves family history into a broader cultural narrative.

Working across multiple disciplines, her illustrations and paintings are primarily rendered in black, white, and sepia tones, evoking the feeling of looking into the past through treasured family photographs and historical artifacts. Through these works, McReynolds invites viewers to reflect on memory, identity, ancestry, and the enduring connections between personal and collective history.

Exhibition Dates: July 30th, 2026 – August 21st, 2026
Reception: Saturday August 8th, 2026 5-7pm
